Principal’s Honor Roll | YISS (3 years)
Principal's Honor Roll was an award for high school students who maintained an A (96%) or above in all of their currently enrolled courses. Hence, getting awarded this Honor Diploma was such a meaningful achievement for me.
Although I was enjoying studying my courses at school and was confident enough from all the previous awards that I've accumulated, having to keep this pace for the rest of the semester came up as a burden to me. However, getting this award from the principal in-person and taking a look at all of my successful outcomes, reminded me of the joyful and proud moments that I've felt in the past. Therefore, I soon realized that the reason I was able to be entitled to this award was that I persistently tried my best and maintained a good pace no matter what. Although I did make some mistakes and face numerous challenges, I was able to overcome them and eventually reach this achievement. So this gave me a sense of relief that it is absolutely fine to make mistakes in the future and thus eased the burden that I had. Based on this lesson, I gained the motivation and energy again to start off a new semester and work even harder.
